The twins have been talking about the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” for weeks. The first time they saw it, Adri burst into our room, at midnight, full of questions about Queen and the 80s. She was so excited to tell us all about it. Tonight I watched it with Katy. It was good. I found joy on the couch watching what she was excited to show me. It made me think of how we all need to help each other in this life. We can’t make it on our own.

Also, today is Cristy's birthday. She is my buddy at the gym and here in St. Anthony. She moved here and it could be one of the greatest St. Anthony moments of our entire family's lives. She makes the best cinnamon rolls. She can bake anything. She will do anything for anyone at anytime. I need to be more like her. So, happy birthday to Cristy! You are a good person.

McKenna surprised us by visiting today. I may have gotten a little testy-eyed when I saw her car in the driveway when we came home from church. She would help me get the Christmas decorating finished. I’ve really struggled with that this year. She helped us all laugh and we loved visiting with her. I love my children. They are a great source of joy. Now I eagerly await her text saying she has made it home.

I DID IT! I completed an entire year of blogging daily (minus a few days in June when I totally forgot with wedding plans and cruise plans but added four days I to one post so technically I only missed three days of an entire year). This blog has helped me realize that joy comes when we are actively seeking it. Without that action, I wouldn’t have recognized all these little things that make me happy. Hopefully this is a lesson I will remember my entire life. I think this quote by Robert Louis Stevenson says it exactly right and is the perfect spot to end this year of joy seeking.
