Today I got to go on a beautiful "walk" with Susan and Kendall. Kenny hates hiking but he will tolerate a walk. It was uplifting to be in the trees again. I had never walked along this trail before so I didn't know what to expect at the end. It was spectacular. Pictures don't do it justice. As we walked, Susan was so encouraging of Kendall. Usually he stayed behind, slowly plodding along. Sometimes, he needed to stop to take a rest. And other times he would quickly catch up, grab hold of Susan's hand, and let her help him. When we reached the end, the view was amazing. I thought about this experience all day. I thought about how our Heavenly Father has a path for us to follow. He leads us while we plod along, doing our best. Sometimes we have to stop, things get hard, and take a breather. Other times, we truly need to reach out to him and let him pull us along. But, if we stick it out, the reward at the end is going to be spectacular. I felt so much joy in that...
