These calculators have been a source of joy and amazement in my classroom. While doing some reading, I learned of several activities that can help students with numbers and operations using calculators. I decided to write a grant to get thirty in my classroom. I had no idea the impact that they would have. Students, who previously worked slowly or didn't work at all, are now completing their calculations and problems quickly AND correctly just so their can check their own work with the calculators. Today as I was watching students work with three-digit addition problems, I was so excited to see that ALL of them can do the work. And, they did it correctly.
